What kind of surveys can I expect?
The surveys at VICE Voices cover all sorts of topics. You may be asked about your passions and interests, your attitudes and values, products or services, current social developments, what you think of TV shows - to name a few examples.
Why are surveys carried out?
VICE wants to get to know you – that way we can create more articles and videos that are relevant to you. Likewise, businesses, public bodies and similar organizations are interested in the views and attitudes of the people who use their products and services. The more they know about what citizens and consumers think, the easier it is for them to improve and adapt. VICE Voices gives them the chance to do this and gives you the opportunity to influence what goes on in the world.

Lightspeed is a consumer research company. They’ve been helping businesses find out what consumers think since 1946 when they launched the very first consumer panel. They run surveys via phone, mail and online. Lightspeed is ranked as the world’s largest provider of custom research and analysis, operating globally across 70 countries.
If I become a VICE Voices panel member, will I receive emails advertising other products and services?
What happens with the information I give you?
I was contacted for a Mystery Shopping job, is it legitimate? I received a check, is it real?
We're glad you're checking with us, because this is a scam. If you have received an offer in the mail, by email, phone, or seen an advertisement online offering you work as a"customer services evaluator,""mystery shopper," "survey agent" or "customer service rep" for VICE Voices please be advised that this is fraudulent. We urge anyone who receives these offers not to cash or deposit any checks, not to send any money to Western Union or Money Gram or engage in any other financial transactions, and to refrain from disclosing personal or bank account information. If you have been the victim of this scam, we suggest that you contact your local and/or federal law enforcement authorities for advice on how to proceed to recover any stolen funds, secure your bank accounts and to protect your personal information and privacy. I am completing the Registration form and the "Next Question" button is missing. What should I do?
Sometimes the "Next Question" button is located to the far bottom right of the screen and therefore difficult to locate. Please scroll to the bottom and the far right of the page to see if the button is there. It is also possible that the page did not download completely. Please log out of the survey and then log back in. You will be able to resume the survey at the point you left off.
Why does VICE Voices ask personal questions about myself and my family (such as income and age) when I join?
Having this information and understanding who lives in your household allows us to select surveys that are relevant to you (or to your household). All the factors we ask about (age, gender, profession, who lives in your household, etc.) collectively figure into lifestyle, which is a major factor in determining what surveys may be of interest to you. What kind of rewards can I get?
We feel you - you got your eyes on the prize. VICE Voices has developed a prize catalogue with you in mind. There are tons of great rewards you can get when you redeem the VICE Voices points which will be granted to you after answering our surveys. You can exchange points for cash, Amazon vouchers, donate to charity, and more.
How often will I be asked to participate in a survey?
How often we will invite you to one of our surveys depends on your personal details. Having this information allows us to select surveys that are relevant to you. All the factors we ask about (age, gender, profession, who lives in your household, etc.) collectively figure into lifestyle, which is a major factor in determining what surveys may be of interest to you. The chance of receiving an invitation increases when you update your profile with additional or updated information. Participation is always on a voluntarily basis. To ensure you receive our survey invitations, please make sure you added us to your "known or approved senders" list. Most e-mail clients allow you to set this through an Options, Tools and/or Filters menu. Regardless of how often you take a survey, your opinions always make a difference!
Do I have to participate in a survey every time I am asked?
Participation is always voluntary. If you do not wish to take part, please just ignore our invitation to participate.
How long does an average survey take to complete?
The number of questions varies from one survey to another and we try to keep it as short as possible although we have to make sure the results are meaningful. In general, it should take around 10 to 15 minutes to fill in your answers.
The link in the survey questionnaire does not work. What should I do?
Please go to VICE Voices and choose the relevant survey from the list on the My Surveys page.
I received a message that I do not qualify for a project/or the survey seemed to end abruptly. What does this mean?
If you do not qualify for a particular project, this indicates the project’s requirements do not match your profile or that we already have enough participants who have completed this particular study. There will be many more opportunities for you to share your opinion with us so check back shortly.
Why do I never receive invitations to your surveys?

To ensure you receive our survey invitations, please make sure you added us to your "known or approved senders" list. I am taking a survey and am caught in a loop. OR The survey site is really slow; it is taking a long time for pages to load. Is there a problem?
We feel your pain! Sorry about that. Both slow survey response time and survey loops are usually due to traffic-related issues (many people taking the survey at one time), rather than a problem with the survey itself. Slow page loads may also be due to graphics which take longer to load especially if you are using a modem to connect to the Internet. Try logging out of VICE Voices, waiting a few minutes and then logging back in again. Depending on the survey, you may be able to resume the survey at the point you left off. If this does not resolve your problem, please email us so that we can check to make sure the survey does not have any errors. Don't forget to include the Survey number you are referring to. This will help us research the issue for you.
How do I unsubscribe from VICE Voices?
To unsubscribe from the panel – please follow the instructions below. Log into your account. Click on My Profile. Click on Membership. Check the Unsubscribe box. On the next Page, tick the reasons for unsubscribing. Click Submit. Please allow at least two weeks to process your request. Please disregard any survey invitations you may receive in the following two weeks, these may have been set prior to your unsubscribe request. If you have forgotten your password for your account then please request a new one via the website and then proceed to unsubscribe yourself.
